Conning Holdings Limited (CHL) and its subsidiaries including Global Evolution (together, “Conning”) are certified carbon neutral through the use of high-quality instruments, in accordance with The CarbonNeutral Protocol and the GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance.
All credits adhere to standards approved by the International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance (ICROA). To achieve this certification, Conning is working with leading experts on carbon neutrality and climate finance, Climate Impact Partners. To meet its carbon neutral goal, Conning has established an offsetting program that finances several projects that support the transition to a low carbon global economy. All projects are independently verified to assure emissions reductions are occurring.
As part of this certification, the firm’s global operations completed an independent assessment of their greenhouse gas emissions. Conning paid for its carbon emissions assessment and carbon credits to offset the verified assessment but did not pay directly for the certification.
Since 2020, through our third-party validated CO₂ removal project with Goodwings, on an annual basis, Global Evolution offsets all carbon emissions as a result of employee travel. The latest period of offset was January 1st, 2024, through December 31st, 2024. Global Evolution will continue to offset carbon emissions from employee travel annually going forward.
The project will, through afforestation, remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to neutralize our carbon emission as a company.
Global Evolution use the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) approved CO₂ removal project “La Pitanga”, which is a forest plantation project in Uruguay, that plant forests to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
The project is also certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC), which is an internationally renowned program that setting standards for responsible forest management.
